In case you missed it, here is the original announcement for the VegTucson Coalition. If you are interested in participating, fill out the membership application.

Greetings,

As many of you are aware, VegTucson is a local resource that provides plant-based information to Southern Arizona. We regularly bring you news, information, education, and announcements about all things plant-based, especially those local to Tucson and Southern Arizona.

Today, VegTucson would like to formally announce our main mission - we have formed a coalition of like-minded, predominately plant-based businesses, advocacy groups, and individuals. As a coalition, we bring the plant-based community together to network, and promote plant-based lifestyles by providing resources and education to Tucson-area businesses, groups, individuals, and the public.

We focus on sharing knowledge, ideas, time, talent, connections, and resources to improve our lives, businesses, careers, environment, and relationships with other species. As the saying goes, together we are greater than the sum of our parts. We believe that by pooling what we have, we achieve an exponential return on investment, yielding substantial benefits to ourselves and increasing our ability to promote plant-based lifestyles in our community. VegTucson provides the basic infrastructure, organization, coordination, and promotions to its members to achieve these goals.

Some of the groups and individuals already involved in the coalition include healthcare practitioners, chefs, gardeners, health and life coaches, real-estate agents, restaurant owners, athletes, programmers, social media publishers, and others who have an interest in furthering plant-based lifestyles. Practically-speaking, we provide mixers, directories, electronic communications, and other methods to network with local businesses, groups, and individuals in the plant-based community. We also cooperate with each other on shared promotions, marketing, and problem-solving.

If you run a predominately plant-based business or group, or are a predominately plant-based professional or individual who would like to give and get help, network, pool resources, or otherwise further plant-based lifestyles, then we encourage you to apply for membership in the coalition. There is no cost to membership, and no obligations, but we do hope you will participate. What you put in to it is what you could get out of it; the more we all invest in the coalition, the more valuable it will be to all of us, the public, our environment, and other species. Please take the time to read through the information, ask questions, and fill out the membership application. If you have any questions, please contact us at info@VegTucson.com or 520-222-8245.

Our first mixer is tentatively planned for January 30th, 2016, and is open to the public. Stay tuned for details.

It only takes a few minutes to help create a world of change. Thank you!
